Eco-Friendly Moving Crate Hire Agreement
By ordering eco-friendly moving crates through MoveLink, you agree to the following terms:
1. Service Overview
MoveLink provides eco-friendly reusable moving crate hire as part of our moving services. Customers select a crate package based on the number of crates needed. Crates are delivered to your address before your move and collected afterwards.
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
2. Rental Duration & Fees
All crate hire prices are for weekly hire (7 days from the date of delivery). Any hire period exceeding the agreed duration will incur additional weekly charges at the same rate until the crates are returned.
- Free delivery and pickup is included within 20km of the Sydney CBD for qualifying packages
- Packages outside the standard delivery area may incur additional delivery fees
- Rental duration begins from the date of delivery
- Extensions beyond the agreed hire period will be charged automatically at the weekly rate
- You must notify MoveLink if you require an extension before the hire period expires
3. What's Included
Depending on the package selected, your crate hire may include:
- Heavy-duty reusable plastic crates
- Labels for organising your belongings
- Zip ties for securing crate lids
- Dollies for easy transport (where applicable)
4. Returns & Refunds
Once crates have been delivered to your address, hire fees are non-refundable.
If you have purchased any additional items alongside your crate hire, a 30-day return policy applies provided items are returned in their original, unused condition.
We handle returns and process refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and any other relevant consumer protection legislation. We do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind on crate hire bookings.
5. Damaged or Missing Crates
You are responsible for the care of all crates while they are in your possession. If any crates are damaged, lost, or not returned upon collection:
- Contact MoveLink immediately to report the issue
- Damaged or missing crates may be charged at $40 per crate
- If you wish to keep any crates, they may be purchased at $40 each
6. Delivery & Collection
Crate deliveries are processed promptly upon confirmation of your booking. Delivery timeframes will be communicated at the time of order.
Collection of crates will be arranged after your move. You must ensure crates are accessible and available for pickup at the agreed time and location.
MoveLink is not responsible for delays in delivery or collection caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to traffic, weather, or access issues at the delivery address.
7. Your Responsibilities
By hiring crates through MoveLink, you agree to:
- Use crates only for their intended purpose of packing and moving household or office items
- Not overload crates beyond their safe weight capacity
- Keep crates in a reasonable condition during the hire period
- Make crates available for collection at the agreed time
- Not sublet, re-hire, or transfer crates to any third party
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoveLink is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from the use of hired crates, including but not limited to damage to items packed within the crates.
The Australian Consumer Law may imply warranties or conditions that cannot be excluded. Our liability for any breach of these terms is limited to: the re-supply of the crate hire service, the replacement of the crates, or a refund of the hire fee.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the crate hire service.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoveLink, its affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to your misuse of the hired crates, breach of these terms, or any damage caused to third parties or their property during the hire period.
10. Amendment of Terms
MoveLink reserves the right to change, modify, or update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page. Continued use of the crate hire service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
11. Jurisdiction
This agreement is subject to the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If there is a dispute between you and MoveLink that results in litigation, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
